Estate planning missteps—often simple, preventable, and easily overlooked—can significantly undermine a client’s financial security and long term intentions. From outdated documents to unfunded trusts and neglected beneficiary designations, these errors frequently surface only when it’s too late to correct them. Advisors play a critical role in identifying these risks early and guiding clients toward proactive, comprehensive planning.
This session provides a practical, advisor focused framework for recognizing the most common estate planning mistakes and implementing strategies to prevent them. Through real world examples and actionable guidance, participants will learn how to strengthen client relationships, reduce future conflicts, and ensure that financial and legacy goals are carried out as intended.
